In this episode, I talk with Manas Kshirsagar about resilience. We also discuss the challenge of mental health. He shared that the reason millennials are greatly affected with mental health is because there are things that they yearn for that have the same roots as past generations but have no ability or resources to fulfill it. We also delve deeper into how Ayurveda has all of the tools necessary to combine the physical body, the mind, and spiritual connection. He emphasized that understanding your dharma is the key in being resilient. Manas Kshirsagar also shared the two doshas—Prakriti as the composition of the body and Vikiriti as the imbalance. He also talks about how Prakriti will always determine our stress response while Vikriti will determine how our physical body responds to that stress. Further, he shared why the Amalaki flower or Amla in common language is considered by some as a biohack. Lastly Dr. Manas shared his recommendations of herbs and supplements for the physical body, for the mind and also for sleep. Manas Kshirsagar is a certified Ayurvedic doctor with an extensive Ayurvedic background as he comes from a Rig Vedic Bramhin tradition. He is an acclaimed wellness consultant, who has worked as an Ayurvedic Consultant at MAPI and the prestigious Raj Panchakarma center in Fairfield, Iowa.
