Today Steve Arntz, Products Director at Instructure, joins me for an insightful conversation about Career Drivers. We discuss what they are, how to identify them, and how to take action. If you're a leader, you'll also be able to apply what we'll be talking about to coaching conversations so you can help your team to grow and to create more impact in the workplace.  Last year I attended Infrastructure's BridgeCon in lovely Park City, Utah. It was there I first met Steve Arntz. Our first encounter was when he walked me through a Career Drivers Deck Assessment which you’ll hear more about in this episode. Later during the conference, I attended one of Steve’s sessions.  I found Steve to be motivating, insightful, and inspiring. In fact, he has a passion for helping people find their why and bridge the gap between connection and personal growth. So, I invited him to join me on the podcast to help us better understand what drives us in our careers and in life. In this episode, Steve also shares what he learned through the product development process plus some lessons from his own career journey. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Steve Arntz.   Show Highlights: Steve’s passion for career development and helping people find their why. How Steve strives to help people connect with each other one-to-one along with on the intersection of human connection and personal growth and development.  His intriguing story of how he came to work at Infrastructure and how he was offered the job nobody wanted (and how he was able to turn things around). The creation of Bridge Career Drivers cards and how he learned that people care more about key motivations and drivers than they do about roles in the long term of their career. Convincing corporate clients who are fearful of losing staff to utilize Career Driver cards as a way to help their team—“Find their Everest” (aka their career path). When you are talking to someone and you're focused on them, you are locked in and can’t screw up that connection.    Resources:King UniversitySteve Arntz on LinkedInInstructureBridge CareerBridge Career Drivers cards   Connect with Jennifer:  Send her a message On Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/JenniferMcClureSpeaker On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/impactmakerspodcast/ On LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jennifermcclure On Twitter: https://twitter.com/JenniferMcClure   *** EPISODE CREDITS: If you like this podcast and are thinking of creating your own, consider talking to my producer, Danny Ozment.
