Join me in welcoming multi-awarded entrepreneur Reese Fernandez-Ruiz of Rags2Riches for Episode 50!!! Reese is the co-founder and President of one of the best and longest-running social enterprises in the Philippines. I first met Reese when my brother and I guest-enrolled in Ateneo for a Social Entrepreneurship course taught by Harvey Keh. And for that course, we all had to propose/pitch an idea for a social enterprise as the final requirement for the course. If I remember correctly, Reese and her group, got the highest mark for their idea that grew into Rags2Riches. In this interview, we talked about the origin of that idea, why social entrepreneurship is important for her, and how Rags2Riches is coping with the current pandemic. We discussed her leadership style, how she manages her work and productivity along with her family.
