We went down to SWG3 in Glasgow to visit Warrior Studios and chat with James Gilchrist. James started Warrior studios with Beth Wilson after meeting at Edinburgh College of Art and holding themselves to a higher standard than that of their tutors. They then went on to create Graphic Design Festival Scotland as a response to problems they saw within the industry. They’re now moving into the 5th year of the festival that has grown in size and reputation over the years. We talk about the ups and downs the festival has brought as well as the design industry in Scotland as a whole.
