Welcome to Let's Talk Crime! Today's episode is the life of Gypsy Rose and the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy was subjected to medical abuse by her mother as she placed her in a wheelchair, forced her to get a feeding tube, and shave her head to continue the façade of having cancer. Eventually, Gypsy found out that she was older than her mother told her, and she started to connect the dots. During this time, she met her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, in October of 2012. They began planning ways to get ride of Dee Dee's abuse, eventually deciding to end her life. Gypsy and Nick were eventually caught. Gypsy ended up with a 10 year sentence, while Nick will serve the rest of his life in prison.
