Changing The Story with Lana Dingwall

Business

Have you ever had the inner dual of wanting to pursue a big, beautiful and bold dream, while also holding onto the fear, doubt and insecurity that wants to hold you back from believing you have what it takes to achieve it?  Of course you have, because you’re human. My dreams and my fears LOVE battling it out inside my mind. The reality is fear is always going to accompany building something of importance. What we need to do is learn how to enhance the power of our dreams, so that we are able to move past our fears.  A strategy to do this is realizing that when the excitement of a future outcome outweighs the immediate feelings of fear, we are able to take courageous action in the direction of our dreams.  For some of us though, leaning into the possibility of that excitement can be hard. Part of that comes from the fact that we don’t actually let ourselves feel into the richness of what living out our dreams could entail.  It is important for us to get excited about and inspired by our own ideas. If we don’t do that, who's going to?  That first step of feeling excitement and using that energy to take a courageous step is important because, as we get moving, the courage flows easier and faster to us. All of a sudden we can handle the fears, setbacks, and failures with more confidence and grace.  As much as we always want to have certainty, it’s important to get in the mindset that certainty is a fallacy. Nothing is certain and as we’ve talked about before, what if the bravest thing we can do is actually be taking full committed action towards our dreams, without any guarantees they will work out.  Remember that being an ‘entrepreneur’ is not the end goal, it isn’t a destination that you arrive at. Entrepreneurship is just a way of life - it’s the vessel through which we choose to pursue our mission, our hopes, and dreams.  I was so excited to record this week’s episode with the former CEO of Mindvalley, and co-Founder of Evercoach, Ajit Nawalkha. This guy is a POWERHOUSE coach and has been a source of inspiration for me for many years.  Ajit Nawalkha (former CEO of Mindvalley and co-founder of Evercoach) builds businesses. After failing a startup, struggling through failed partnerships, and going from the ranks of an intern to a co-founder, he found business is lot more about emotional, spiritual, physical and mental resilience--and not as much about strategy. His passion is to help make world a better place. He insists entrepreneurs are going to do that. His endeavor is to empower you so you can be the change world needs. I am looking forward to sharing this episode with you, as I know I walked away with a TON of great takeaways.    On this episode, we cover:  Why our brains are wired to find the easiest path and copy others How to trust yourself when everyone else is against your idea How to be fully aligned with your business The cost of bad advice   Remember that you’re doing better than you think.  Together we’ve got this.  I believe in you. ?
