Joanna has been studying dance since the age of 5 and has been in the entertainment, dance/fitness and production business since high school. Joanna has been an entrepreneur since graduating high school. In 1999 she created Jayvee Empire, Inc. and created her first professional dance production honoring Michael Jackson called The King of Pop. In 2001 she created Maxt Out Hip Hop Dance Competition and that competition is still running smoothly to this day. Maxt Out Dance Competition hosts 3,000 dancers and fans every year and Joanna’s new Dance Your Life podcast hosts famous choreographers and dancers in the dance community.  In 2004, Joanna opened Jayvee Dance Center and grew that business to 700 students. Since then she has sold that business and created The Fit Factor Studio in 2012. This led to a love for fitness and took her event experience and in 2014 created The Alhambra Pumpkin Run 1K/5K/10K and annually brings more than 5,000 people to the event.  Joanna’s latest creation is: The Get Up Girl Podcast . Every week Joanna pours her wisdom into you through her stories, tools, and fun radical candor. Joanna believes that when you ask better questions, up-level your habits and get real, you’ll live a happier life. Joanna uses her wide range of experience in  leadership, business building and the fundamentals of fitness and movement to create kick ass and life changing events, as well as classes and coaching for clients all over the world.
