The Truck Stops Here

Business

Retailers across the country are changing their layouts and display strategies to allow customers to quickly and safely shop while following social distancing guidelines. Should your truckstops make some of these changes? Darren Schulte, NATSO's vice president, membership contends that good truckstops and travel centers should use this time to re-evaluate their merchandising strategy. What should you do with your aisles to make it faster to shop long-term? What can you get rid of that you don't sell a lot of? He suggests that you have vendors come in more frequently, take a critical eye to the clutter on your transaction counter and more. Make thoughtful changes now and emerge from the pandemic ready to be even more profitable.
