This week Kristy and Athena were joined by Alisa, Kristy’s sister. In this two part story, Alisa shares her struggles with infertility and ultimately pregnancy.In part two, we pick up at pivotal moment in the story, Alisa is in the midst of a medical procedure gone awry and then more loss. Alisa and her wife make the decision to go from IUI to IVF. Along with dealing with the hormones and emotions of all this, Alisa discusses how hard it is to have pregnant friends, attend baby showers and the comments that seem well intentioned but are not. Ultimately Alisa’a journey with infertility ended in a double rainbow with beautiful twins; she knows that not all families are lucky and hopes that by sharing her story that she has helped someone else.
