My husband and I had our first child, a beautiful baby boy back in April, and despite all that’s going on, I couldn’t be happier and more grateful for how things turned out. When we found out we were pregnant, we could have never imagined that we would be having a baby during a pandemic. The only Corona I knew about was the beer. But we did it and we made it through with God’s grace. I was fortunate to be able to select and be seen by all Black women doctors for my prenatal care. My baby was even delivered by a Black woman (Nigerian!) doctor, so it was just #BlackGirlMagic throughout my entire experience.
