We celebrate 60.000 downloads and we are super excited to be able to do that with the incredible team of Stacey George and Sasha Spivey of the Luxury Travel Line "Frankie Ray".In this Part 1 episode we get to know Stacey George better and what drives her to work so hard and where all her passion comes from for this amazing brand. Stacey was born and raised in Dallas, TX - she met Sasha in Kindergarten where they became best friends and have since spent their entire life together. They have always been this close and are never sick of each other. They are true Soul Sisters at heart. Fashion has always been in Stacey's Soul - she had a fashion business with her sister while in college and it has always been her first love. Stacey lost her Mom Callan at the young age of 15. After that tragedy her Dad raised her and her sisters. They all live super close to each other. She doesn't stray far from the people she loves. She says that part of such a tremendous loss is holding the people that you do have very, very close. She says it humbles you and shows you that you are not invincible and you learn from your pain. Stacey believes that her Mom is always looking out for them. She was a wild and fun lady. Stacey gives very important advice about when teenagers go through the loss of a parent. It is incredibly eye opening. She says that she still gets sad about the loss of her Mom and says that hey really didn't know how to deal with it when it happened. Their Dad raised them to the best of his ability but didn't know how to talk about it. Stacey then shares the devastating story about her ex fiancée, who was struggling with their break up, ending up committing suicide. They were together for about 7 years, lived together and he had 2 children. He just couldn't find his inner happiness and Stacy still struggles with the blame game of what more she could have done. She says that this is kind of the beginning of a campaign to give yourself the strength to take the love from the people around you- know that you are a good person and know that if something bad happens you can't blame yourself. She still struggles with that. Stacey believes in turning everything tragic into something positive. Stacey and Sasha named their brand "Frankie Ray" after their Dad's and that is for a reason. It is their outlet and they are channeling it into something positive. They have both been through a lot and they have a lot of energy and emotion and they are putting that together into a "POSITIVE RAY OF SUNSHINE". It isn't always easy, but they find it very therapeutic and it has been very beneficial for them. We talk about how hard it is to find a good therapist and that they can sometimes cause more harm. Sasha gives a great truck analogy about the past and guilt and shame and the future. Stacey hopes that her story will help someone else. The Frankie Ray briefcases and the whole travel line are built with trials, tribulations, tears and a ton of love!!! Stacey is blessed with 3 wonderful sisters, the greatest Dad and the best friend in the world. She couldn't ask for more.
