Europe is under siege by populist right-wing political movements. But Nordic countries have withstood much of the political pressure we see throughout Europe. Why is that?One theory I have is because of the nordic welfare state. I've wanted to explore this idea, and learn more about the nordic welfare state model, for a long time. My guest in this episode is Mikko Kuisma. He's a Research Fellow in Comparative Public Policy from University of Tübingen who specializes in political economy of European welfare states.
