Living Simply with Dr. Gina

Kids & Family

In this episode, Dr. Gina discusses what motivates perfectionism, how perfectionism is reinforced and praised in our society and its pitfalls. While perfectionism leads to positive outcomes such as a job well done, a positive self-image, being a great employee, for example, over time it leads to stress and burnout.   Perfection is an unattainable goal motivated by a feeling of “not good enough”. It is a standard no one can live up to. It leads to poor sleep, it robs you of your joy, and you say no to things that matter to you. It can even lead to procrastination and broken relationships because no one can live up to your expectations. Dr. Gina proposes simple strategies on how to move past striving for perfectionism.   Get bi-monthly emails of upcoming episodes, show notes, free ebooks and videos. https://mailchi.mp/97a81f83289c/living-simply-with-dr-gina   Psychology  http://doctorgina.ca/   To book a Complimentary Discovery Call: https://forms.gle/LyCKx9RNo9Bu1Edi8   Get your free eBook:  https://beacon.by/dr-gina-madrigrano/letting-go-of-perfectionism
