Now that the world is “opening up”, I’ve been seeing lots of social media posts about hitting the gym real quick and trying fad diets to get in shape before going back in public. Of course these are meant to be funny, but are we laughing though? Do you look at those posts and think about yourself like, man, I should be doing something too because I want to look snatched too. Covid weight is a real thing, and some of you might feel discouraged at the number staring back at you on the scale. Today I invited Rachel Goode to join us for this conversation where she opens up about her struggle of gaining over 90lbs unexpectedly and the feelings of hopelessness that ensued after that. Rachel is perfect to address this topic because she’s a researcher and her research focuses on non-diet weight management focused on black women and she looks at eating disorders. She knows what it’s like to carry more weight than you want. She’s felt stuck, hopeless, has gone from diet to diet, has felt desperate. But she also knows what it's like to feel free again from weight struggles. This episode is inspiring and you’ll leave hopeful! To connect with Rachel and continue this conversation, you can find her on Twitter:  @DrRachelGoode If you enjoyed the show today, screenshot the episode and tag me on Instagram (@moniquetuset) and on Facebook (Monique Tuset)!  Did you know we now have a Paetron account?
