Business Over Beer

Business

This week on the Business Over Beer Podcast, we welcome The Vibesmith, Ryan Reed, founder of HAFLife Entertainment, an independent record label and entertainment company focused on music, film, live events and lifestyle. Ryan shares with us that writing poetry at a young age combined with his love of hip hop turned into a love of putting words to rhythm and music and ultimately into an entrepreneur with a business focused on Hope, Ambition, & Fortitude. Prost!   In this episode: Ryan thought he'd go into the military because he knew that a traditional path to college didn't suit him. Ryan was reinvigorated with the love of music late in High School, then his first live performance sealed his desire to pursue it as a career. HAFLife offers opportunities to other musicians and showcasing talent from the Pacific Northwest in a grander way than just through his own music. A willingness to do something different, to take a different path takes a lot risk and sacrifice, and the courage to continue to get up from being knocked down.    You have to be willing to be hated for every little thing you do, success takes a relentless warrior attitude.   Are a creature of circumstance or a creator of circumstance? People don't realize how in charge of their lives, emotions and mentality that they really are.  Having a third person perspective on yourself helps you come to terms with your demons and downfalls which allows a person to grow.     Guest Beer: Future Primitive Brewing - Seattle, WA NPFO Pilsner, German Style Pilsner, 5.4% ABV "100% German hops and malt, this bright German Pils is pale in color and has a bursting billowing white head. Perfectly balanced with a German malt back bone that gives way to a very clean, dry finish. Never leaning too sweet or too hoppy, this Pils dances in the middle, making it a truly drinkable, refreshing bier. Brewed in true German traditional methods to be as authentic as possible."   Angie's Mystery Beer: Lucky Envelope Brewing - Seattle, WA Peanut Butter Cream Stout, 6% ABV, 34 IBU "Real peanut butter is infused into our seasonal Cream Stout. The rich, peanutty flavors play beautifully with the chocolate, roast, and caramel notes of the base stout, backed by the mouthfeel provided by added lactose."   Episode Links: HAFLife Entertainment New Music Video after Diabetes Diagnosis  HAFLife on Spotify Hopwork Urban Brewery Roulette Delgado "Take The Stage Winner" KGW Great Toy Drive YWCA of Clark County Doernbecher Children's Hospital Jim Morrison Friedrich Nietzsche - The Birth of Tragedy Apollonian/Dionysian Kendrick Lamar wins the Pulitzer Prize Wild Roots Spirits Kristina With A K
