Empowering Women in Real Estate - The Podcast with Karen Cooper

Business

As real estate agents and/or as moms we have a lot on our plate. Each day, each hour, we accomplish a lot. And yes, we like it. We love getting things done and helping the people in our lives, but we HAVE to be smart with our time, too.   Karen is sharing dozens of timesaving tips today to help you carve out precious minutes here and there. This extra time will save you! It will save you from decision fatigue, unneeded stress, little mistakes and sleep deprivation.   These changes don't require a super-strong tech background or a lot of money. They're just smart and simple.    On the technology front you can use timers and alarms to manage your to-dos and appointments so that you don't have to check the clock every 5 minutes. You can just focus on your task until you hear the beep. This is a great trick to teach your children as well.    You can also utilize keyboard shortcuts to help you populate the texts and phrases you frequently write.   Obviously, using a Alexa can be a real help. If you're hesitating because you're reluctant to bring one more device into your life, it might be worth consideration because you can keep better tabs on your kids this way. Listen in to learn how! And, Alexa can also read aloud to you which can really help you reach your reading goals.    For appointment setting Karen recommends making the next appointment at the end of the current appointment. It saves you a step and a phone call.   In general, whether with meal prep or picking your outfit for the day, it can be super helpful to plan one week at a time. Decision making in bulk preserves your brainpower for important choices in your business that only you can make.     And lastly, why do we have to be reminded to set aside the time to take care of ourselves? What a mystery. We just always seem to put us at the bottom of our list. Decide to make the time to do something nice for yourself every single day. Karen has learned over the years to be an early riser and she loves what it does for her outlook and her energy throughout the day. She gets the time to read her devotional and sip her morning drink in peace. Whenever in the day it makes sense for you to squeeze this in - do it.    Thank you for listening!
