In today’s special episode, Chantel had the opportunity to speak with Tim Cosby! He is a former pastor and college chaplain, co-author of the book, Coaching Based Ministry, and co-founder of the Coaching-Based Ministry™ model.    Tim’s model was developed to help pastors and Christian leaders with a more effective way to help people change. The model of just telling people what to do won’t lead to sustained life transformation. He discovered, after years of pastoring, that receiving information and advice alone does not lead to transformation and growth. Transformation happens only when a person becomes internally motivated to change.    His model is based on a coaching approach rather than giving advice. Coaching empowers people to change without telling them what to do. To be empowered means to take ownership of and responsibility for shaping your own future. This is based on the principle that the people you lead will understand, value, and apply what you help them to discover, not what you tell them.    After years of seeing what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to motivating others to change, Tim helped develop a groundbreaking, new model to help leaders bring about spiritual transformation, personal development and leader development.   Enjoy!
