I am so excited to be back from my break, and I sincerely hope you found as much value in revisiting the throwback episodes from the past couple weeks as I did. Today, I’m going to ease back in with a relatively short, but extremely important episode addressing what so many of us have gone through over the past year and the aftereffects which seem to be on the rise these days. Join me today as we dive into the topics of stress, burnout, and feeling stuck, the differences between the three, and what we can do about them. I’ll offer a comparison between stress, burnout, depression and feeling stuck, including how they show up in our lives, and some steps you can follow to help manage them. I also share some of my own experiences with these feelings, some strategies that I use to work through them, and some valuable resources that you can access. Highlighted throughout the episode is the importance of  recognizing the signs that would indicate you need to seek out help and the necessity of being open to receiving that help. Again, it is so good to be back, and I honestly can’t think of a more crucial topic to address given the times in which we find ourselves today. As always, if there is a topic you would like me to discuss or a guest to interview on the podcast, please feel free to contact me at pr@kellytravis.net - I would love to hear from you!   The Finer Details of This Episode:   Comparing stress and burnout   Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Amelia Nagoski and Emily Nagoski   Some signs of burnout   Comparing burnout and depression   When you should get help from a counselor or a doctor   Solutions for burnout   Feeling stuck and what can be done about it   BetterHelp   Quotes: “You can have stress without burnout, but you can’t have burnout without stress.” “What happens is we don’t actually handle the real stress that happens in our body.” “The difference between stress and burnout is a matter of degree.” “Truthfully, probably about 6 months ago, I started to just feel all the things, and I’m pretty sure I felt burnout, depression, and just being stuck, all at once.” “Burnout shows up more related to work, whereas depression is definitely something that goes across the board.” “There’s nothing wrong with being put on medication or getting help.” “This is all about self-care, reset…restoration.” “What can I remove from my plate?” “That’s why I think a lot of people are experiencing both burnout and feeling stuck, and I know I have been.” “We want to make sure that we’re still encouraging everybody else.” “Find the little things that you can do that will move the needle.” “If you are experiencing depression, don’t be shy.
