Well that was fun! What a first day of free agency for the Colorado Avalanche. It all started when the surprising news that captain Gabriel Landeskog has signed on for eight years with the Avs was announced. I guess they weren't so far apart after all. Then when free agency was officially under way, we heard goalie Philipp Grubauer was taking a deal with the Seattle Kraken. I guess the Avs and Grubs were further away than we thought.
