EGO IS THE CENTER OF ISOLATION. Isolation is the perception that I am all that exists, and ego is the center of isolation. The Ego thrives on confrontation. It wants to fight against something, even if that something is the Self. SOCIAL SUPPORT IS POWERFUL, but to receive it, we often have to ask for help. I also believe we have to offer help. If we feel alone, we feel hopeless and are likely to give up.WE ARE NOT ALONE. There is someone feeling the exact same feeling that we are right now. Someone has been where we are right now, and that should remind us to feel the absence of isolation.WATER SHOWS UP IN MANY FORMS, but it is still water. I will suggest love is the same way. Love is expressed in many different forms depending on how the person feels about themselves, processes their emotions, and communicates their love.IF SOMEONE FEELS ISOLATED AND ALONE, their communication of love might be skewed because they are coming from that Ego zone of isolation that thrives on confrontation. For them, confrontation or domination might be their expression of love.NOT ALL EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE ARE HEALTHY OR WHAT WE NEED, but the person usually believes they are acting out of love. WE ARE ALL A DIAMOND IN NEED OF POLISHING. We don’t immediately see the shine. There is dirt, dusk, scratches, and inconsistencies in the surface, but once you clean it off and polish the sides, it shines. WE ARE NOT ALONE. We are all working to shine a little brighter.THE FLAME IS LIKE THE WATER. This small flame can provide warmth, light your home, guide you down a dark path…but also can burn out of control if left alone.WE ALL NEED AN OUTLET. This is why eliminating isolation as an option is so important— we need community. We need to be reminded that we are not alone, so we don’t feel the need to scream for attention, from our Self or anyone else.My intention is to give you mind-shifting strategies that make you feel like your mind is a Zen escape room— a mental sanctuary— so that when things get challenging in the world, you always have a safe space to go, even if it’s just one breath at a time. JOIN the Spoken Word Yoga Community.  Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates for new offerings. FOLLOW @spokenwordyoga on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok for Positive Affirmations and information on yoga retreats and global events to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul.SUBSCRIBE to Spoken Word Yoga YouTube channel and stream the ZEN DEN SANCTUARY episodes.
