This six-part series is called “David: Turning Points”. I did this series seven years ago, but I want to repeat it because 2021 will be a turning point in my life, and more importantly, for Central Christian Church. For six weeks, we look at turning points in the life of King David. David is called a man after God’s heart, not because he was perfect, but because he had a heart for God. By studying turning points in David’s life, some positive, some negative, we can learn how to face turning points in our lives. Lesson #1 (January 1 & 3, 2021) – Accepting the Call Text: 1 Samuel 16:1 – 13David was just a shepherd boy when first called by God. This is the first sign God wanted to do something special in David’s life.
