We are continuing to cover fears.  Today, we dig deep into the question “how do I manage a negative and stressful friendship” from one of our callers who wants to share her observations with a long-time friend but is afraid to hurt her feelings.  We value friendship so much that we are doing a 2-part episode.  In episode one, we start by explaining what a truly thriving friendship looks like, so you know what bar to aspire to.  In episode two, we further explore the challenges our caller faces and provide tools that will help her take action. In this episode, we’ll discuss our viewpoint on what an amazing friendship looks like – the SAVER philosophy: Support – provides sincere care, compassion, non-judgement, trust, and confidentiality Alignment – demonstrates shared understanding, mutual respect, and connected core values Value-add – shows reciprocity (equal effort and contribution); it’s not a one-sided relationship Elevate – inspires confidence, empowerment, fortitude, excellence, and forward progress Rise – prioritizes self-growth and betterment; grows alongside you so you evolve together Do you have savers in your life?  This simple acronym is a great assessment tool for you to evaluate the caliber of your friendships/relationships.  Do not miss the next episode because you will learn about the DRAINER acronym and tips for how to manage a tough friendship.
