This weeks portion discussion: Korach - Num. 16:1–18:321; Sam. 11:14–12:22; Jn. 19:1–17 Next weeks portion: Chuka - Num. 19:1–22:; 1Jdg. 11:1–33; Jn. 19:38–42 Korach is a type of Antichrist, hence the name Anti-Moses. Korach leads a rebellion against God's elect chosen one, Moses. Remember that this is specified in many places, Num. 12 being the most recent. Korach seeks to take his place as the priest to the people, and equate himself and all the people as holy. There are only two places in the Bible that talk about being thrown alive into the pit or Sheol. One is here in Num. 16:32-33, and Rev 19:20-21, 20:1-3. The beast, the false prophet, and the dragon. Kevin Ivey and Thomas Beaver come together to discuss and discover God's weekly devotional known as Torah Portions. The question on the table is always a very simple one, with often times deep and profound impact: "What Is It?" This we can tell you will be fresh and new every week. We call it, Adventures in Torah! The purpose is to get the people of the church interacting with each other and with us as to answer the question, what is it to you...this week? We would encourage people to interact with one another on this channel by leaving your comments regarding each portion discussed and if you'd like, please subscribe. Thank you for sharing this with your friends and other believers; start talking about the Bible. Download your copy of Torah Portions Schedule into your smart phone today.
