Deakin University had an influence announcement about the ‘Australian Future Fibres Research and Innovation Centre’ (AFFRIC). This centre enables Deakin University to make a global input in the area of fibres. This centre will co-locate some of the top researchers and within the substantial facilities provided.

Dr Bronwyn Fox is the senior lecturer at Deakin University for the Centre for Material and Fibre Innovation and remains the leader for the research team. Brownyn’s key research interests consist of: 1. Out-of-Autoclave cure of composites 2. Structure –property relationships in nano-composites and natural fibre composites.
