Alexei is a Russian migrant who went through a series of challenges, before becoming an Australian citizen. We discuss life growing up in Russia in the 90’s, becoming a skin head at school, living in share housing with four other families and evading the Russian mob. Alexei found himself in an immigration detention centre in Australia, lost his father to cancer and eventually lost all of his hearing in his left ear.
