Alinah Azadeh is an artist based in East Sussex. She makes interdisciplinary work through writing, performance, working with materials and through participatory collaboration with the public and others to create installations and engagements. Our conversation moves through Alinah’s background and heritage and the poetics of spaces, the loss of her mother and the project that allowed her to tell her own story of grief through objects that invited people to share their own objects and stories of loss or endings, making art that is accessible to anyone to find something in and connect with and the importance of finding the allies with whom you can develop the work you want to offer the world.
