The Amara West project is an undertaking from the British Museum funded by Leverhulme Trust. The purpose of the Wolfson Research Institute involvement is to find out both the colonial era in Upper Nubia and the later era by examining two cemeteries and the structure of the community and see how the change in political rule affected peoples lives.
