Parenting That Kid with Ashleigh Tolliver

Kids & Family

“There are no bad children, just children who don’t know how to get what they want in more acceptable ways” Are you looking for tips, resources, and tools to fill your parenting tool belt? Tada!!! You found them!  Stacie Pozdol, M.S., LMCH is a licensed, masters-level therapist with 20 years of experience working with individuals and families impacted by developmental and behavioral needs. Oftentimes parents feel as if others don’t understand the difficulty they are experiencing raising their child. Stacie gets it! She not only understands but acknowledges this difficulty makes it a challenge to fully support your child. With all the appointments, special accommodations, and day-to-day activities, Stacy understands the need for families to be met where they are at in life. It is through this understanding that Stacie has created a practice focused on supporting parents (and children) from a more personal accasable way than traditional counseling. Stacie's individualized care is power punched with support, tips, and tools to help busy families feel successful and supported while raising a challenging child.  Resources:  “Insider Tips and Strategies for Parenting” By Stacie Pozdol “A five is against the law.” By Karen Buron “Smart But Scattered” By Peg Dawson Social Media links: Pinterest -@https://www.pinterest.com/thebehaviorbuzz/_saved/ Website -@https://thebehaviorbuzz.home.blog/ Hi, I’m Ashleigh Tolliver, and this podcast is a road map to Parenting That Kid. As a mother to a highly sensitive little boy, and a daughter with ADHD, I know what it means to parent a child who does not fit into the ‘box’ modern society has put children into. My mission is to help other parents of “that kid” feel less alone, more confident, and more equipped by asking the tough questions to the professionals, gathering tools and resources, and connecting with other moms who are wrestling with the same struggles. If recording my journey as I seek a clear starting point, community, and effort to normalize life with a highly emotional, sometimes out of control child, supports at least one parent, then my time is not wasted. And if it doesn’t well, there’s documented proof that moms deserve a glass of wine. Cheers! Thanks for listening! It means so much to us that you listened to our podcast!
