We as Christians use many titles for ourselves as it pertains to our faith. But the one that can not be disputed or ignored is to be called a follower of Jesus Christ! We normally do not use this title because it causes too many questions from those who hear it. It also requires us to spend some time contemplating how we are going to define what that means. Jesus was very direct when it came to describing what it looked like for us to follow Him. We were to take up our cross and deny ourselves. We were to ensure that where He was we were in the same place doing just what He was doing. Being a follower of Jesus is not about being a busybody who does churchy stuff. Jesus said that while He walked on earth that He could only do what the Father was doing. So to follow after Jesus we can only do what we see Him doing. What is he doing in and around your life? And if you are following after Him are you becoming a fisher of men?
