Is your creative fire going out? Writer, producer and thinker, Sean Finegan, shares how some simple sketches have refueled his creativity and inspired others to do the same.Sean works as a producer for a video company in Los Angeles. Once his day job started to feel a bit redundant, he found himself drawing simple sketches. Each sketch is self-contained to a commentary on society, simplified philosophy, altruisms, and puns. This sketching was a private practice for Sean until a conversation with a friend prompted him to share a sketch that seemed to say with visuals what was difficult to articulate with words. Not long after, the sketchbook concept was born. And instead of sharing all of them on social media, Sean decided to print out small books, invite friends out to a picnic, and hand them out for free. Everyone sits down to flip through the pages, sharing and commenting on the favorite sketches, some funny, some thought-provoking, some serious, some vulnerable. Sean created more than just art, he created an experience. And this experience has lead to other opportunities, collaborations, and new ideas. What are you creating? What experience are you sharing with the world? We hope you find this episode a breath of fresh air.
