IDBI Bank is prepping for the launch of a co-branded credit card with the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). LIC is also one of the largest shareholders of the bank. The bank will be joining with the LIC Card Services which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance giant.
This move will be considered as a part of their strategy to work on the synergies between the 2 organisations. This comes after the Life Insurance Corporation of India has acquired the majority of stakes in the bank back in 2019.
