Carrie Minter tells all about how she grew up, how she became a model, moved to Los Angeles, became a Playmate, moved into the Playboy Mansion, married, divorced and became an entrepreneur running her own empire called Carrie's Pilates Plus. Carrie grew up in Mesquite, Dallas with a severely autistic brother who is non verbal, which was very hard on the family. Her parents divorced when she was 15 years old. Carrie started modeling at age 15, entered a local modeling competition and won it. She signed with Elite Agency in New York, NOW Agency and Kim Dawson agency. She got to Los Angeles at age 18 and with a very conservative Mom who she didn't get along with in her teen years, she immediately felt at home in LA because she didn't feel judged. Her dream was always to become anactress, but after she started auditioning she realized she was a terrible actress and concentrated solely on modeling. We then learn how Carrie ended up living in the Playboy mansion and being one of Hugh Hefner's girls. We find out all the steps from topless Polaroid day to move in day. She moved into the mansion when Holly Madison was Hef's main girlfriend and she tells us all the details when she first arrived at the mansion. She tells us about her first dinner with Hef. Carrie lived there right before the reality show "The Girls Next Door" premiered on E.At any given moment there could be 12 girls living in the mansion, then he cut it down to 7 and eventually to 3 girls. As expected we find out that there was always a lot of drama, and everyone was always trying to get Hef. We find out who actually gets paychecks and how the other girls lived. After a while Carrie couldn't take it anymore because she wasn't liked and her sensitive heart and soul could no longer take it. It just got too much with all of the girls. She just wasn't prepared for this kind of world. After moving out she did always love going back to the mansion for weekends or holidays because Hef always wanted to make sure the girls had a place to come to. She tells us that it was so sad when Hef's Alzheimer's progressed and he couldn't remember her or some of the other girls. She told us that Crystal, his last wife stopped the dinner and movie night weekends. Carrie was 23 years old when she left the mansion and moved into an apartment in Hollywood. She started modeling again and we find out how she met her husband. After their very first date they hit it off and got married 6 weeks later in Las Vegas. When she married him he had 1 Pilates studio in West Hollywood - today he has over 600 locations worldwide maybe more. They were married for about 6 years, and even though she doesn't have many nice things to say about her ex husband, she does give him credit for being her mentor and teaching her work ethic and taught her a lot. She tells us that the divorce was very hard on her, even though her marriage was very toxic, but passionate at the same time. It was very unstable. She felt like she no longer had her own identity and felt very lost. Even though recently divorced they were still going to couples counseling trying to work on their relationship when she found out that he had married a porn star in Las Vegas. He ended up giving her the flagship location of the Pilates studio, but she found out later that it was losing money. She felt lost and depressed with no motivation.One day she got it together and the studio became her safe place and saved her life. Today it is Carries Pilates Plus and a thriving studio with many celebrities and a very impressive client base. She praises her incredible team, especially her right hand Alyssa and her family. During Covid 19 they have rented a parking lot and created an outside workout experience second to none. They created a successful virtual program so Carrie's clients can work out from home during these trying times. She has even created her own Pilates machine called "THE MINTER METHOD" and that is available for purchase for your home or if you want to open your own studio. She also holds recurring teacher trainings. Her brand is unique, one of a kind, exquisite with high powered music and lots of energy. Her Merch line is classy, beautiful and one of a kind. Carrie is a big believer and supporter of the women empowerment movement. We talk about how Carrie and Marcella met and how they have become best friends and are like twins. Marcella has recently gotten certified with the Carries Pilates Plus method and teaches on the virtual program. Carrie has an unsurmountable love for dogs and has 5 dogs right now. Carrie just recently got engaged to her fiancé Toni who surprised her with an incredible 10.5 carat engagement ring, and they are planning a wedding in 2021 in Dallas. We talk about the new pop up workout that Carrie and Marcella are going to bring to Dallas in 2021, to expand Carrie's brand to the DFW area. They are very excited about that.
