On this episode, we chat with Jason Phillips, husband to our OWN host, Dr. Natalie Phillips, father of two, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Colorado State University, and Founder of DAWGS, a non-profit organization that provides dads, and other father figures, with opportunities to support, encourage, fellowship, and serve one another, their children, their families, and their communities while demonstrating the willingness to be involved in their own and their children's mental, physical, and spiritual health & well being. Going into its 4th year, DAWGS has provided many environments and activities for Dads to have fun with their children including an annual chili cook-off competition, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, internet safety workshops, family game nights, “Chopped” cooking events, and even a hairstyle night where Dad’s learned how to make different braids and ended in a little friendly competition.  Listen as Jason shares how DAWGS began and his commitment to continue to work with relationships within the family and with his athletes as a male leader, coach, and inspiration.  For more information about DAWGS, please visit: www.daddawgs.com (http://www.daddawgs.com/) https://www.facebook.com/DadDAWGS (https://www.facebook.com/DadDAWGS) https://twitter.com/@DadDAWGS (https://twitter.com/@DadDAWGS) Support this podcast
