Recording of forum held May 9, 2014 at QUT Gardens Point Campus. This forum discusses the question "Can infrastructure be designed to be more resilient to the effect of disasters"? While cyclones or other events might not be preventable can the damage to infrastructure critical to communities and regional economies be prevented or reduced by adding vulnerability reduction to design thinking and building-in resilience? Speakers include Graeme Newton, Iain MacKenzie and Joe Mathew. Transcript available upon request.
