Miscellaneous

The Boston Celtics and the NBA are just 3 weeks away from restarting their NBA Season. The NBA has released their scheuled that has each of the teams playing 8 games a piece. The Celtics schedule is set up with them playing the Milwaukee Bucks on July 31st at 6:30pm, the Portland Trailblazers August 2nd at 3:30pm, the Miami Heat August 4th 6:30pm, the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday August 5th 9pm, the Toronto Raptors Friday August 7th 9pm, the Orlando Magic Sunday August 9th 5pm, the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday August 11th 6:30pm, and the Washington Wizards Thursday August 13th with the time to be determined. With the playoffs beginning 4 days later on August 17th. Teams were granted a week from June 22nd to June 30th to sign free agents to open roster spots in hopes of having extra bodies they may need in case of injury or sickness to any other players. However the Celtics were not able to make any moves as their entire roster is filled out. Multiple NBA Players are letting it be known that they will skip the remained of the NBA Season for 1 reason or another. For the Boston Celtics 2 players (Gordon Hayward and Vincent Poirier) have made it known they will leave the team regardless of whether the team is currently playing in the playoffs or not to be with their wife for the birth of their new childs. Meaning the Celtics could be shorthanded come playoff time and theres no telling how long the 2 will be away from the team. So on todays show we will discuss the Celtics schedule as well as look at the moves made across the league from the players who have made it known they are not playing for their teams to the players who were signed as backups to open roster spots on other teams. We will be joined by Warren Shaw (@ShawSportsNBA on twitter) he is co-host of the NBA Baseline podcast and Kevin Dixon who is the host of N-the Zone Talk Radio
