Miscellaneous

The NBA Regular Season is back up and running. The Boston Celtics are now in the process of playing their 8 regular season games to determine what seed they will be in the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics went into their 1st game last night with the potential of finishing anywhere from the 2nd seed to the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics entered last nights game with the Milwaukee Bucks just 3 games back of the Toronto Raptors for the 2nd seed in the East. While also holding a 2.5 game lead over the 4th seeded Miami Heat and a 4.5 game lead over both the 5th seeded Indiana Pacers and 6th seeded Philadelphia 76ers. So 8 games for the Celtics to determine what seed they will be and what path they will havve come playoff time. The 1st of those 8 games was last night when the Celtics took on Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks. This was a game where the Celtics had a chance to make a statement and show that people who are not putting them as a threat to the Bucks in the Eastern Conference are wrong for not doing so. Many have felt the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are bigger threats in light of the fact that those teams have better size to match up with the Bucks best players. The few that have said the Celtics can get the job done have made the argument on the Celtics shooting specifically from beyond the 3 point line to combat the Bucks size. So did the Celtics manage to pick up the win and show they dont need a dominant big to beat the top team in the Eastern Conference? Did they get beat but keep the game close to where a few bounces of the ball and official calls could have changed the outcome of the game? Or did the Bucks show that the analysts were correct and that something else will have to happen thats outside the Celtics control to help them get by Milwaukee.
