Miscellaneous

Put the brooms away Celtics fans cause we officially have a series between our Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors. The Celtics after winning game 1 in dominating fashion then just managing to squeak out a win in game 2 were poised to take a 3-0 series lead and all but end the Toronto Raptors season but 1 defensive mistake cost them the chance to take that 3-0 series lead and instead has made the series 2-1 in favor of the Celtics. The Celtics lost last nights game 3 by a final score of 104-103 in a game that saw both teams go back and forth and exchange the lead in the 4th quarter. Kemba Walker connected with Daniel Theis for a 2 hand slam with 0.5 seconds left in the game to give the Celtics a 2 point lead. The Celtics celebrated with Kemba throwing his fist into the air thinking they had the game won. Only for the Raptors to snatch away the victory from the hands of defeat with a game winning 3 pointer by OG Anunoby who was left wide open on the ensuing play by Jaylen Brown. We will discuss the top stories from this game. The bad decision by Jaylen Brown to leave a wide open Anunoby in the corner to guard Marc Gasol near the rim despite a 2 point shot only forcing a tie and overtime. The play of the Boston bench who for the 3rd straight game had a great performance and for the 1st time in the series actually won the battle of the benches. The Raptors decision to go to the zone and the effect it had putting the Celtics offensive attack to a halt and if thats something Celtics fans should worry about. Plus the performances of the Boston starters who each member of the starting lineup lost their 1 on 1 matchup to their Toronto counterpart and should Boston be worried they might have given Toronto life.
