In Romans 8:10 Paul writes these words: "But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness." How do we walk forward with Christ when our bodies are still dead because of sin? The Bible is clear: all have sinned. But sometimes we make our relationships with God about sin management, not about spiritual transformation. We either swing towards one view that says: "Be perfect, so that you can be with Jesus." Or we swing toward another view that says: "Come as you are, Jesus loves you, you don't need to change." So, which is it? Can we find an equilibrium and a better way to walk forward?
