British artist Christabel Blackburn won Sky Art's Portrait Artist of the Year earlier in 2020 with her minimal and stripped back contemporary portraiture style. Christabel's compositions typically include flat planes of colour, architectural aspects, simplistic interiors with limited details balancing of context, reduction and intimacy.In the podcast, she discusses her journey as an artist and her recent experience painting music legend Nile Rodgers, founder of the 70s band Chic, which now hangs in the Royal Albert Hall in London.
