As we continue our 1 Peter study, we are going to look at God’s grace to help us navigate some of life’s “extra” situations and “extra” people. If you need help understanding the idea behind extra, the urban dictionary defines it as “dramatic, excessive, over the top, way too much.” Anybody know any “extra” people??? Thankfully God has grace to give us for the “extras.” We will look at two every extreme extra situations cited by Peter to help us guide us for walking out extra grace: submitting to governing authorities and how slaves had to endure cruelties (1 Peter 2:13-25). In our own hard situations that seem almost impossible to cope with, God gives us grace. Part of His grace is the example of Jesus.
