Offered red shirt turned it down. 1986 As a firefighter for Akron, Ohio and a student at Akron U, walked on and got the gig. Played one year and was then called into Paramedic school and had to make a decision. Married, wife expecting our first son and job with Akron Fire... I took that instead of the scholarship. Kicked semi pro for a few years in Akron. Moved to California and lived for 20 years. Coached in junior leagues while raising family. Moved to Massillon, OH in 2001. Coached Massillon Washington High School K/P for three years. Drafted to play in Arena Leagues by The Erie Freeze in 2006. Cut at camp because I was older than the head coach. Invented the Launch Pad during these times with partner coach David Abdul.while watching NFL Players lean the ball forward for FG'S but not for KO's. I have always considered kicking a football to be pure joy and something I will always do. Coaching and helping players improve and catch the dreams they're chasing is at the top of my priority list.
