I wanted to share with you an amazing conversation which made lasting effect on me.. A gentleman rang me as I was traveling for an important business meeting in kerala, he was surprisingly polite, slow and simple, introduced himself and his charity works. On top talked about Rasa Gurukul and how proud he felt about our project. But what attracted me most was the way he spoke and the gap between words.. That sweet, semi formal conversation ended there, a brief one but the biggest impact was with in me, how relaxed I felt. Later in my meeting I said very little but I was too cool being crisp and simple, I answered my points precisely in spite of continued discussions on numbers which never attracted me.. Apparently in this instance, I made a sweet impressioin on my potential associate, that was too good and thanks to that guy on the phone sometimes we don’t pay enough attention to each interaction we have with people. Wise people in their imaginative style of talking often help you change the way you think and behave, even after you complete your chat with that person. Word are so powerful as we know from our life and tales from history. They do wonders if you know how to use them with your thoughts just before delivery and if you are capable of enjoying its journey as it strikes the opposite person exactly how you expect it to be. I enjoyed many such intimate coversations with one of my heroes, dr. v joseph, chancellor of garden city university in bangalore. Everytime we met, he gave me enough and more to relish his observations and continue to wonder with the way he talks. History was made or changed by people who knew the art of playing with their thoughts and the way they articulated in real life, they always make it sound so simple, its far away from truth, its an intesive process to consistently deliver such conversations. Though I passed that continent already in 2 weeks, I feel the thrilling beauty of those trascending words from that phone call. A lesson learned and am so happy to be more careful as i speak in public. I hope you do the same to enjoy the emotion of words more and the people behind them. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/das-sreedharan/message
