Today I speak with Art Director of Sun-Staches, David Levich, who has been building the company from the beginning. They have focused on selling sunglasses, which have a little mustache hanging down from a chain and have become popular, even being worn by celebrities such as Justin Bieber. They see themselves as designers rather than retailers or sellers to give a competitive edge and be unique. This has been a less profitable year because of Covid, but they haven’t had to let any employees go and have really just focused on design and preparing for better months. He started selling jewelry in high school and even ended up later going on Shark Tank, getting one of the investors, Daymond John, to invest in his product. Most deals made on the show tend not to go through, but they were fortunate enough to complete their deal with Daymond and they still have a relationship today. So what we did was we started importing goods from China and we learned the intricacies of importing from China, manufacturing goods, and over the years we’ve seen how China has increased in quality. When we started off it was just whatever quality wise. Now you cannot beat it. They’re so good at making things. It’s amazing.” 21:53https://sunstaches.com/@sunstachesReach Out To Keith, Get Help and Resources: https://dincpie.com/
