Thomas closes out hour two of this Tuesday edition of The Jon Chuckery Show featuring Thomas Mott by getting you ready for Thursday’s NBA Draft, as he talks to NBA and College Basketball expert DeShaun Tate. Thomas starts things off by asking DeShaun what position the Hawks will target in this year’s NBA Draft. DeShaun responds by saying “Option number one would be to move on from that pick to bring in a guy that can help Trae Young and the others get past the point that they got to this season.” Tate finishes his thought by saying, “You also could be looking at either a big or another point guard.” Next, Thomas asks Tate if he thinks the Hawks could have a realistic shot to land Bradley Beal this offseason via trade. DeShaun responds by saying, “I’m not putting anything past the mastermind that is Travis Schlenk.” Tate finishes his thought by saying, “I do think it is likely that there will be a conversation” Next, Thomas asks DeShaun if he thinks Cam Reddish could really be traded during this year’s draft. DeShaun responds by saying “We all remember what we saw last...I think we have seen a little bit of non-deliverance from him as well.” Thomas also asks Tate if he thinks there is a potential big time star in this NBA Draft Tate says, “All-Star sure, but a superstar no...I think it’s a solid draft, but there’s no real standouts.” Finally, Thomas wraps things up with DeShaun Tate by asking him if he thinks Team USA Basketball will win the Gold Medal. Deshaun responds by saying, “No, I wouldn’t put my money on it.” Tate finishes his thought by saying, “There are certain calls an NBA player is used to getting, and they are not going to get them in the Olympics.”  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
