Today we talk with Natalie Ledwell, “internationally renowned motivational speaker, best-selling author, Law of Attraction guru, host of ‘The Inspiration Show’ and ‘Wake Up TV!’ and co-founder of the revolutionary Personal Development company ‘Mind Movies’” (https://www.natalieledwell.com/about.php). We begin our conversation with Natalie sharing her passion for talking about mindset, our limiting beliefs, and visualization, all of which involve our brain and our thought processes. She also shares the inspiration of her “Mind Movies” approach to visualizing the future that you want. We discuss resetting our subconscious, limiting programming, and the science of epigenetics. We talk about our 5 different brainwave frequency states: delta (sleeping), theta (meditation and hypnosis), alpha (awake), gamma (connected to the unified field). We talk about how when we are between the ages of 2 and 7, our brains are predominantly in the theta state This is a prime age for developing subconscious programming, like “I’m not pretty,” “I’m not worthy,” etc., which are reinforced over the years through repetition. We talk about the importance of creating new neural pathways to be able to achieve the vision in our “mind movie.” We discuss the importance of self-awareness in this process, writing down both the negative ways of thinking, as well as the positive ways we want to think. We talk about how we can overcome repeating the negative stories of our past to ourselves by changing our perspective. We discuss listening to the physical manifestations of the trauma we keep stored up inside. We talk about ways to identify negative thinking, and saying no to limiting beliefs. Being honest, open-minded, and wanting to understand is key to a growth mindset. We talk about connecting to others emotionally, as well as being open in conversation to help adjust our thinking. We talk about how this can improve workplace interactions. We finish our discussion by talking about what Natalie is most passionate about, including her work on a curriculum to help children develop healthy mindsets. We also discuss “mind movies,” and give our listeners a special offer from Mind Movies!
