In this podcast, I'm joined by Pete Waddingham, Programme Manager at the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network (YHAHSN), and my partners at Edenic Group, Jamie Del Grosso and Rob Lewis to discuss the role digital is playing in the health sector and what the UK's future healthcare industry might look like, aided by digital. The world population is rising and estimated to be around 50 billion by 2050. In the UK we are living longer and fortunate to have a healthcare system that is free at the point of access. But with a growing and ageing population, do we each need to play a role in supporting the health industry and take some responsibility for our own healthcare? Digital technology is playing an ever-growing role in the health industry. The National Health Service (NHS) and the industry as a whole are looking to explore this for new innovations and solutions to help support the sector, relieve pressure and aid the public in taking preventative measures to ill health and everyday care.  This is an insightful discussion, which highlights the many opportunities that can come from embracing digital and the public playing its part to help sustain and support the health, wellness and support sectors.
