Douglas Stuart is a writer whose debut novel, Shuggie Bain, has been longlisted for the 2020 Booker Prize. Born and brought up in Glasgow, Douglas went on to study at the Royal College of Art in London before moving to New York where he now lives and works. His novel, Shuggie Bain, came out in February 2020 in the United States and in August in the UK, and has received widespread acclaim from readers and critics alike.
