NGFP Local Lunch

Arts

Hello and welcome to our weekly NGFP Local Lunch podcast trailer where we provide you, our lovely listeners, with everything you need to know about Nottingham’s local food heroes and how you can get more involved in our vibrant local food scene! Local lunch is brought to you by me Shona Munro and me Penney Poyzer of Nottingham Good Food Partnership the go to organisation for sustainable food in our fair city. Our guest this week is a true pioneer and urban planning maverick! She is Dr Laura Alvarez who is senior principal, urban design and conservation officer for Nottingham City Council. Now you may ask why we have an urban design practitioner on the podcast, when we are all about all things food? Laura is a really important partner for NGFP - with Laura we have co-authored a ground breaking planning guidance document that will embed nature, food growing and access to green space for communities to gather together. This is the first piece of planning guidance to be directed by the community and we are expecting a lot of interest when it goes live, this Friday. Laura is a fascinating person. Born in the city of La Plata in Argentina, we will hear about her passion for her city and how it has shaped and influenced her career. So tune in this Friday at 1.30 - we will be making history! Simply search for NGFP Local Lunch on your browser and we will pop up! See you then! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ngfplocallunch/message
