Gods Word Community Church Following Him to Calvary I Will Send a Comforter:The last Gospel written, John's Gospel, writes the story no one else had written about why Jesus made his very last trip to Jerusalem. Friends living close to Jerusalem sent Jesus a message that a good friend, Lazarus, their brother, was dying of an illness. Jesus performs one of his greatest miracles in raising Lazarus from the dead, but the miracle provokes the religious leaders, and they make plans to execute him. When Jesus comes to Jerusalem from Lazarus's home, the people lay palm branches in front of him as he enters the city: "Hosanna!,' they say. They think he is their Messiah against the Romans, but his goal is higher: He has come to save all mankind from our sins. Jesus warns his disciples what is coming, that he is going to die, and it is the greatest thing for all mankind, but they resist him. Jesus then strengthens them with some of the richest teaching we know, and His Father's commands will guide them. Then, comes the cross.Current Sermons Audio:
