Sisterhood Works

Business

Today, we are thrilled to be interviewing the former Chief Content Officer of GOOP Elise Lohenen.   Gwyneth Paltrow described Elise as "like a sister to me", so after seven years at GOOP, stepping down was a big decision – but the right one. And today’s conversation – a recording from a LIVE event we did with Elise - will remind you that sometimes the hardest path, is usually the right one.   The time has come for Elise to start what she calls the "literal next chapter". She's writing a book and starting a podcast – so watch this space. It’s all coming soon and I’m sure like me, you can’t wait.   In this episode we're of course chatting about her career at GOOP (and how she got there), but we're also unpacking what it feels like to pivot and make a big career change at the height of her success. We'll talk about what it's like to leave a role that feels like a part of your identity. Plus lots of other things we all grapple with such as how to deal with criticism, how to have a fulfilling career, and of course, the sisterhood she surrounds herself with.   You might want to grab a pen and paper – my reading list expanded tenfold after this conversation. A writer and editor first, Elise has seen media move through a period of monumental change and her insights on career, culture and life in general are so interesting. Let’s meet this amazing woman.   Follow @eliselohenen  To review a recording of the live event, go to www.allbrightcollective.com  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
